As of November 1 2009 over 102,300 of the 2009 Ultra High Relief $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin have been sold to gold coin collectors.
With the world economy continuing to be in the doldrums, the price of Ultra High Relief coins has risen due to the continued upward trend in the cost of gold - touching $1,100. The US Mint has lifted the limit of 1 coin per order but in spite of this there were only 1,607 $20 UHR Double Gold Eagles sold during the latter half of October.
